Hello and welcome to The Boston Harold Video Podcast. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing via Zoom, all the way from Perugia, Italy, Edoardo Genzolini. Mr. Genzolini has recently written and published two brilliantly constructed books which should appeal to music fans everywhere: The WHO at WINTERLAND, 1968 and 1976, and CLAPTON, BRUCE & BAKER- Sitting on top of the world - San Francisco, February -March 1968. He is also the author of  The Who: Concert Memories from the Classic Years, 1964 to 1976 (2002).

WHO HE IS: In addition to being a musician himself, Mr. Genzolini is a music archivist and historian. Much like the 1979 documentary about The Who, The Kids Are Alright, Genzolini’s books are the work of a scholarly fan.

In our interview, Edoardo and I discuss how certain films he watched as a teenager ignited his love of The Who and the city of San Francisco, his desire to fill in some gaps in The Who’s history, his love of the band’s “In Concert” years from 1967 to 1976, the validation of receiving the support of The Who’s management, his pilgrimage to the West Coast, the generous support of fellow fans, how he got his books published, and his future projects. Edoardo also shared some very rare artifacts donated by some of his fellow Who fans.
