Author Keith Miles discusses his books about Dylan related locations in London and New York, restoring London's Troubadour club, interviewing A.J. Weberman, and more

Hello and welcome to the Boston Harold Video Podcast. My very special guest today is author and Dylan scholar, Keith Miles.

In today's video chat, Miles discusses his two books, Bob Dylan in London: Troubadour Tales, and the brand new Bob Dylan in the Big Apple: Troubadour Tales of New York, as well as taking on the responsibility for restoring the original Troubadour Club in London, where Dylan played on his first trip to England.

Miles's parents took him to see Dylan at the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival when he was child too young to really appreciated what he was witnessing, but nine years later, he slept out overnight to get tickets to see Dylan at Earl's Court  We reminisced about the 2019 World of Bob Dylan Symposium in Tulsa, OK, how collaborating with women in his books is an important part of the Dylan scholarly process, and why he interviewed the notorious Dylan garbologist, A.J. Weberman, for his new book about Dylan in New York.

"Dylan in London" is already available, while "Dylan in the Big Apple" will be published this Thursday, December 9, in the UK. They both work well as guide books, and as a history lesson.
